what kind of help? Being independent doesn't mean never needing some help here and there, nobody's perfect and unless you intend on living like Tom Hanks in Castaway, don't be too proud to take a helping hand if u need it. Don't become permanently RELIANT on that if you can avoid it, because that is kind of a bad habit, but if you're stuck, well that's what friend are for...and your partner should be willing to help you get through hard times etc...

Co-dependency is much different than dependency.
Co-dependency is when the partner rely's on them for everything and anything...where as the ones who can easily do that on their own while wanting to share with their partners is different.

No, what a funny question.
By being able to set aside your pride and ask for help you are proving you are truly independent because you are doing what you want, not just reacting, or rebelling against something else.
Independence is a state of freedom, not a state of being "difficult" trying to prove you "don't need nobody or nothing".
Like the song says: "Free you mind, and the rest will follow"

Absoulety not! Even us independent women need help sometimes. It's a very hard thing to do but yet it is very humbling. Just be glad that your partner is able/willing to help you out in your time of need. Just remember it takes a strong women to even ask for help!

No, everybody needs help sometimes. What makes a person dependent is if she ask for help all of the time.

no it doesnt, remeber no matter what the sex of the person, everyone craves independence. That doesnt mean that she loves you any less, nor would you if u are the independent one. It just means that she is able to stand on her own. I myself have had to learn that sometimes it's ok to accept a helping hand..... even if it is from your significant other.

I think it takes a strong person to be able to ask for help. Everyone needs it every now and then. Life happens sometimes and we need those who we Love and trust to fall back on from time to time.

No, it makes her smart. It takes a much wiser woman to know WHEN to ask for help than to flounder on her own. But if she's constantly whining that she just can't do it on her own, then that makes her spineless and lazy!

no, there is nothingwrong with that. there is INDEPENDENT, DEPENDENT ~~~ AND INTER-DEPENDENT... we all need each other at different points in our lives
.....EACH ONE HELPS ONE
...ALSO, there's a saying "When you have a broken leg, A CRUTCH is not a bad thing to have!"
i had a problem for years being independent and not leaning on NO ONE ~~ I had to learn that loved ones are there for us in ALL TIMES ~~ even in OUR OWN times of need!!!

No, and if women weren't so concerned with being independent they wouldn't worry about so many stupid little things that don't even matter.
