Bananas are VERY good for you. Beans, sweet potatoes (apparantly they are better than regular potatoes--but I do not know what the big deal with regular potatoes is either), oatmeal, nuts, and avocado are all very good food choices that will not necessarily make you lose weight.
Breakfast - scrambled eggs, whole GRAIN bread (whole wheat and whole grain are NOT the same) with jam, a glass of milk and a piece of fruit if you are still hungry.
Lunch - chicken and brown rice (it is better than white rice), vegetables.
Dinner - some type of fish (halibut, salmon, etc), a baked potato, vegetables (cooked or raw... broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, eggplants).

Nothing is wrong with eating potatoes in moderation. Potatoes are a starch and are also high in carbohydrates, which means you shouldn't over do it with them.

Eat a lot of whole foods, not processed stuff. It's easier for your body to assimilate it. Do you have weak muscles? Then eat more protein of all kinds, meat, eggs, beans, . . .
