i don't know...adjust it to your taste i guess. i use Crystal Light Iced tea...they have it in peach and lemon, along with tons of other tasty flavors..u don't have to add sugar, u just need 2 quarts of water (as directions say) in a pitcher and add the crystal light, and stir.
2 quarts isn't enough water for me, so i add some more water b/c it's a bit too sweet for my taste.
i loaded up on it when i went to the grocery store yesterday.

Honestly, I wouldn't pre-sugar the iced tea. This allows whomever is drinking it to decide precisely how sweet they would like it and many people drink it unsweetened.
I usually sweeten my tea with 2-3 teaspoons per 12oz glass. So if you do choose to sweeten the whole quart, I would go with 2-3 tablespoons.

Try this put 2 qts of water in a 3-4 qt pot add the rinds of two lemons and 1/2 cup of sugar or splenda substitute. bring the water to a boil and then put in the refridgerator. This is known as a simple sugar with lemon accent. You can experiment with different flavors like mint, ginger, lime, orange, tarragon...
Pour your iced tea 2/3 full in a large glass of ice cubes and then add the lemon sugar water. Garnish with mint leaf and enjoy.
Also try just lemonade to your iced tea.

I'd agree with the 1/2 cup guideline. If you plan to drink it all immediately, you may want to put a little more. It's harder to taste the sugar in fresh sweet tea, but after it sits a couple days, it's like drinking syrup!

I suggest making it without sugar and then each time you pour it in your glass put some sugar in. That way it won't ruin the whole pitcher of ice tea if you accidentally put too much in. In my opinion the best ice tea is one that doesn't need any sugar because it is such a high quality tea.

NO sugar when you make it. Each person has his own taste. If they want it sweet, let them add their own.
To me, ice tea with sugar tastes like sugar water. Have lemons cut into quarter pieces handy, some like them with tea.

Not sure, but my suggestion would be to add a bit at a time (say 1/2 cup at a time) and taste test until you get the sweetness you desire.
