My father received a prescription with the right pills in it but the bottle also had some pills that do not fit the description on the pill bottle. the suspect pills are round, white tablets with an imprint of ML on one side, they are smooth on the reverse and look like this from the side ().
the pharmacy told us that they have no pills that look like the ones in the bottle and that they never make any mistakes.

a prescription will usually have a code on it. You can do a search on the code online to see what it is.

The ML may be for Meyers Labratories, and I believe they make aspirin. I would just smell the suspect pill and see if it is vinegary smelling, (aspirin usually is) or check other bottles of aspirin in the house to see if they match.

Referrence section in any library. Just make sure the company stamp is not effaced. If not, all the manufacturers have a toll free number. Or - website. Copy and paste this to whatever that might be and forward same. Hope this helps.

Next time this happens, or if your still unsure, call your pharmacist. They should be able to look up your prescriptions and identify that tablet for you.
