Of course you should go back to the dating scene -- better to be getting hurt than disengaging from the rest of the world and feeling safe but lonely.
But you should look at the things that have drawn you to 'assholes' in the past and figure out why you find those characteristics so appealing. Only then will you be able to break the cycle.
Good luck to you - have fun!

Women are worse than guys are. At least when guys act like assholes we can tell you why and why it causes us to act like that. Women just blame everything on PMS and expect that to be a good enough reason to treat us like crap. Anyways, all I'm saying is it goes both ways and the amount of happiness you get from a relationship is also the same amount of sadness that can happen as well. It's all in the risk of loving someone. You're putting yourself out there. Relationships are funny that way.

keep looking til u find a guy you think you'll be happy with. There's no guarantees in life, and you may have to learn some tolerance to put up with some of other people's idiosyncracies or shortcomings.
What do you expect from the man in your life, is it realistic, fair, practical? Do you know anyone that has the qualities you're looking for, how hard are you willing to look to find this guy?
Do you have any of the faults you assign to others, do you want a relationship etc. or are you honestly happier being single? Lots o questions...

I'm sorry babe but you can't complain about about men until you show better taste in them. Sure it's worth going back into the dating scene but you'd do good to take things slower and think more.

Just keep on keepin' on! You'll never meet someone you may want to spend the rest of your life with if you don't date! The only alternative is to set your resolve to live the rest of your life alone, which can be a touch choice to make.

That just means that you are not picking up on their signals soon enough....or they just flat-out lied-scumballs.
But you do need to write out a map of a treasure hunt--for the right man!!Yes--just list specific details, values, hobbies and what he should look like. Fold it up, put it under your pillow and feel what it would be like to be loved by that special one right before you go to sleep!
See what happens-keep it open and positive to the fact that the right one is here now!!
