What did it feel like for you when you brought your baby home from hospital???

With all three I was just glad to finally have my baby all to myself and not have to ask doctors and nurses if I could see my baby. I even had rooming in, but there was still alot of traffic and the baby had to go to the nursery for this and that.

My third child had some problems when he was born and was in NICU for about a week. I was nursing so I pumped at home and brought the milk to the hospital when I could not come up to actually feed him myself. When I got him home I was so glad to have him with me!

My children are my life.

It was scary both times yet it was tiring and a blessing all in one. Scary because you want to make sure your baby is okay and I am sure you have heard of SIDS. Tiring depending on how long you were in labor (my first time being 10 minutes in labor and second time being 3 days in labor), and knowing you have a husband and another child that needs tending to along with the baby every 2 hours. That is very tiring at first. Last but not least...a blessing. Holding your baby in your arms knowing you created this little person that can maybe be the next person to change this world for the better. Lord knows we have had our share of idiots as presidents that have made it worse.

I left the hospital with my baby on christmas eve. I sat in the back seat with her watching her the whole time. It was a scary ride i held my breath after each little bump. Then when we got home she started crying. At first i was freaking out a little because there were no nurses to help us. Then we feed her and she was fine. Bringing her home was the best christmas present ever.

I was in shock. I still couldn't believe that I went thought 8 1/2 months of pregnancy and that it was finally over. Also, I was still very "out of it" from all the drugs. I was too tired, and weak to notice anything, but about a week later, I was in love with my baby boy! It's almost as if a week later, I just woke up from a dream and realized that I have a son. Of course I took care of him the first week but it didn't hit me that I was a mother untill the 7th or 8th day.

it is an overwhelming, scary, nervous, exciting time..
you finally have this little person that you have been waiting for for 9 months. after the birth and all the help you had at the hospital you are now alone and you wonder i hope i can do this!!
but i always say children do not come with instruction so we do the best that we can!!!
And soon everything just falls into place!!!

I was exhausted, but I felt relieved from being home. I just wanted to relax and I couldn't wait to get into my comfy bed.

very scary. I wrote down every bottle and diaper on a list so I could show the doctor to make sure I was doing it right.
