Yes they can. That is why I hate video games. You play them for hours and you can't stop! I know my brother gets so crazy about this baseball game he plays and he will scream and cry if he loses. And yes, he is mentally well. Limit the amount of time your child can play games. Set a timer for like 30 minutes a day. And tell them if they continue to play after the timer goes off, they can not play for the rest of the week. Take serious action if the disobey this rule.

Yes! Even adults can become addicted. I know. I am addicted to yahoo games puzzle express. seriously, I used to go to bed and after the husband and kids fell asleep, I would get up and turn on the nintendo and me and my mother-in-law would play mario till the wee hours of morning. We were so tired that all we could do was giggle over the thing. We had a good time! With no hassle from the kids over how we weren't playing right. LOL

even as i changed into 8, i changed into purely allowed 3 hours an afternoon max apart from any action picture or tutor considered with the relations. After that it changed into all up interior the air soaring around the 4 or 5 hour community for VGs (a minimum of for the weekends). i changed into inspired to pass outdoors and do issues with acquaintances, i changed into under no circumstances outright forbidden from too many stuff apart from drugs and MTV. however it changed into also a a lot less complicated time (early 90s, Arizona suburbs).
