No one should every color at home. The problem you are having happens to everyone. Your hair has to go thru stages to get blonde. It has to go thru the red, orange, and yellow stages first. The color they sell in stores is usually not strong enough for this, even if the picture on the box says it is going to turn out a certain color.
Also, everyone's hair is different. The pics always show three different colors of brown or blonde and the colors they will turn..however, some people's hair has more red and some people have some green undertones. The green ones actually may turn green instead of orange.. be thankful you're orange.
Go to a professional. You may only have to be toned to acheive the color you want

The volume of the peroxide you used was to low and you needed an activator in order to go light enough.Let me guess you bought this color at the grocery store .Your problem is a very common problem with lightening hair especially strawberry Blondie hair .I think strawberry Blondie is a very pretty color but we all get bored with our hair and experiment and we have all made mistakes. Also alot of lightened hair wont hold color at all .I would go to the beauty supply store like Sally's or a public beauty supply for hair and get a really good filler and put that in than try to color it.The supply store will know what your asking them if you tell them your hair wont hold color. Some hair colors that you buy at the supply store have what they call base colors like neutral ash, and gold .Stick to the neutral .I know that ash will nock out the red tone in your hair, but if the color starts to fade it could start looking green.Neutral is safe.Another thing they have which is not a permanent color its a temporary color filler is jazzing .Its not a color but with a plastic cap and some heat you can stain your hair without damaging it .It doesn't last as long .I hope this helps .

You can't dye your hair into a lighter color. You need to bleach it first and then dye it. The salon is your best bet if you want it to look good.

You have to use a stripping agent to remove the color and then dye it the color you want it to be. You may want to go to a salon though, to avoid damaging your hair by over processing.

GO TO A SALON!! don't try to fix this yourself you're only going to do more damage!! It's a lil tricky trying to go blonde when you have natural red highlight to your hair. It will turn out orange & not look s o pretty, have a professional help you correct it
