we decided that the best thing to do is kind of just take a break in out relationship. he promised me that we'd eventually get back together...but dealing with this is just so hard!

Well at least he told you that he liked another girl most guys would go out with you and her at the same time and not tell either one of you. But you should find someone else that you like, you deserve better than that. Don't allow him to go out with someone else and after he is finished come running back. Kick him to the curb for good. There are plenty of fish in the sea.

If you don't prepare your heart, it could end up broken. My advice is to truely let him go. Holding out hope that he'll come back will make you feel and act desperate. Better to just say goodbye. There are millions of other guys, and with time you'll find someone who will love you and have no interest in another. If you can be strong you might find that you don't even want him anymore when he does come back. Remember, someone that hurts you doesn't really love you.

He is with another girl, forget about him and remember the saying which holds true, there are plenty of fish in the sea, find another boyfriend that isn't a player. Best wishes.

Well, I give him 2 snaps for being honest and not sneaking around behind your back.
But..
Why would you wait around for him to see if he likes her better than you? What if he does? The you wasted all this time when you could be looking too.
It really sounds to me like he is keeping you as a backup just-in-case kind of thing which is really degrading.
Move on sweetie. He doesn't deserve you.

For a little while becasue he likes somone else, well why would he want to go out with her if He Knows that he will have to break up with her soon after,, Just a waste of time,, should of really just stayed,, not right for him to even tell you he likes somone else,,

I myself have had a simmilar problem but my girlfiend finished me because she fancies me and someone else, time is a gd healer look for the best in every situation maybe he iusnt mr right ..

OK here it is he likes another girl and you>???? don't like him he's deciding from you and the other but if he liked you more he would pick you but it's 50 50 he doesn't like you fully then break up with him forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
