As discreetly as possible. I would hope to be able to find a male employee that can tell him, but most of our office staff are female. If I had to tell him, I would.

I would base my decision on the thought that, if the tables were turned, he would give me the same consideration.

Take a picture before you tell your boss!

Just have a male co-worker tell him for you. As a guy, I wouldn't want a girl to tell me about zippering my zipper. It's just unfortable and embarrassing that way.

Just say "front door is open." Think I saw that in a commercial once, where some girl's dress was tucked into her hosiery and she saw a guy with his zipper down & told him the "front door" message.

This has happened to me at work.

The admin has very discreetly looked quickly down at the zipper area, then back up, then down, then back up. It made me wonder if I had spilled something there, so I checked, and voila!

I think her method is the best one, vs. "XYZ" or something verbal.

I would also have a male co-worker give your male boss the message. I wouldn't mind telling a female supervisor, but it's different when it's a guy. :)

Is it down right now? Tell him discreetly "I think you might want to go to the restroom and inspect your clothing." That way, he'll be embarrassed in the bathroom and have time to recover before facing anyone.

Take him aside and be to the point: "Hey, *BOSS's name here,* I just wanted to let you know, your fly is down. I know if it were me, I'd appreciate knowing." He should thank you. I mean come on, who wants to walk around like that all day. My first week at a job, I had to tell my boss her underwear was hanging out her backside, she appreciated the thoughtfulness and adjusted it.
