Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?
Just remember, take each moment like it will be the last. This I feel will be a good start for you in knowing. Good Luck!!!!!!!

well hon they say that the true person comes out when you're drunk, hmm i don't know could be true i do know that people lose some inhibitions and regret what happens later, but it seems to me that not only are you unhappy with the way things are and your girl doesn't feel the same way about you that you do for her, but she also has a substance abuse problem and if she's not careful things will only get worse, in light of this i have a few suggestions: 1. break it off and take sometime for you to heal cause i believe you've been hurt, before finding that special someone out there who is deserving of you, 2. try to forgive and forget, holding on to bad situations can only make it hard for you when you move on, 3. try to encourage your girlfriend to get help like at AA or some type of counseling, 4. and if you think against what i advise that you two can make things work, talk about how you feel and listen to her and get counseling, but she needs help with her drinking problem and it is a problem. all the best.

She sounds like a party girl. If she can't treat you the same with friends as when you're alone, you're better off without her. She doesn't deserve you and she won't change just because of you. It hurts, but she has to realize it herself. She might like you, but she isn't acting right. Move on, don't let this party girl break your heart!

I think you might really have something special with her. But she feels like she has to be a different person around other people. It seems to me that she feels comfortable enough with you to be herself. Congrats. She likes you. Try to show her that you love the person she is and not the person she thinks she needs to be. Once she realizes you care so much, she'll appreciate the kindness you show her. Trust me.

Maybe she's just shy around her friends. My boyfriends the same way he acts distant around his friends because he's not real affectionate. But I know he still loves me. As for alcohol that happens to everyone it impairs your judgement. Don't let things like that ruin something good. You show her how much you love her and she'll come around and realize what a catch she has.

She might not be mature enough to behave correctly with you around her friends. She might even be afraid to show her feelings in public. Either of these are things that you two can talk about together to fix the problem. Definately communicate with her before things go any farther.

Well it sounds like she's doing what MOST guys do. (cept for the alcohol part) I think you should try. I t sounds like there's a chance. If she like drinks too much a LOT then maybe there's a reason and maybe you can help make it better. :)

i think if she doesn't pay attention to u when you're around eachothers friends that she likes u, but just doesn't want to be made fun of or anything by other people. and if she can't face that, she's not worth it.
