Well when he said he was going to destroy Isreal for allowing Prostitution then he was saying it was wrong (Hosea, Amos and most of the other Minor prophets) Also God said ALL SEX outside of Marriage is Sin so that includes Prostitution.

Well the term for prostitution was "whoring" which was known in Proverbs as well as Judaism as being bad. Also, take the entire book of Hosea, in which God portrays an interesting picture of His relationship with Israel. Hosea marries Gomer, a female prostitute. This bothers Hosea, and God tells him it is the same thing with Israel. So, your answers: Proverbs and Hosea. Also, since God created one man and one woman, and fornication is sex outside of marriage, the burden of proof would actually rest with one who thought prostitution is OK.

Don't know. Although now-a-days it doesn't make much sense anymore. Think about it. Why is it illegal to sell something that's perfectly legal to give away? Countries that have legalized prostitution have a much lower instance of sexually transmitted diseases (per capita) than countries that outlaw it. Plus, in those countries where it's legal the government can not only monitor it but collect revenues from it as well. It only remains illegal as an outdated fossil of Christian idealism.

Some of the best people in the Old Testament visited prostitutes and weren't condemned for it. I think that's another western idea that's found its way into church ideology.

After he was with a prostitute he said, "That was wrong. It was just wrong." and laughed as the prostitute but the leather back in the closet.

Dear:SARA Ro:7:13: Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Ro:7:14: For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Ro:7:15: For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Ro:7:16: If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Ro:7:17: Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Ro:7:18: For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Ro:7:19: For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Ro:7:20: Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Ro:7:21: I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Ro:7:22: For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Ro:7:23: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Ro:7:24: O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Ro:7:25: I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

NEVER !!! God does not require opposite situations, like right/wrong, up/down, in/out, of any human experience, because He/She is not human, nor of human needs...prostitution, like any other world business, provided many experiences for many people in their lifefimes...God's view allows Him/Her prime seats to all of it.

Actually it is listed as a work of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-21. It is lewd, unclean and lascivious let alone it is fornication. This can break it down for you: http://www.ccel.org/contrib/exec_outlines/gal/ga5_19.htm

Ah, as far as I know "god" has never "said" anything to anyone directly. However, if you are reading passages in a sacred text (i.e., the Bible), you may find that "god" communicated many times on various subjects which refer to fornication...which is 'wrong'...and therefore sanctioned.

I dont think god ever said it was wrong.
Some of christ's closest friends were prostatutes. I'm more inclined to think that its wrong if you feel in your heart its wrong. If its ok in your heart then you only have to deal with mans laws.
