My boyfriend is going to college in another month or so. We get along great he is so sweet and romantic. I really think it has potential to go somewhere. The whole him going to college almost in a way could end our relationship because i really dont know what to expect when he is in college I want to be fair to him and be able to experience him having his first year all fun but at the same time I want him to myself. What should i do?

Your best course of action is to hope for the best, but gradually prepare yourself for this relationship to fade away. It happens everywhere especially in the military service where the "dear John letters" are often posted on the barracks bulletin board. Using the fade away technique you will profit from the experience and know how to put the next one and other personal crises aside with fewer and fewer emotional scars, the mark of a mature adult woman.

Ask him what he wants from your relationship after he leaves. Just ask him what you can expect from each other. Decide together.

Long distance relationships almost never work out. If the timing is wrong, it may just be a lot less heartache for you two to end it now. If you are both really committed, you could wait and see how it goes. It depends on your personalities.
