Big Bang is gone.
Quantum Theory says the universe was created when two membranes touched. That does allow for a God to have created the universe and still have existed before it.

That's where faith comes in.

The fundamental problem is that we do not know. So instead of a definite answer, we invent a place holder to pluck into the equation and try to work it out, believing that one day we would.

That's why we have critics and we have the faithfuls.

Understand that "God" exists in our cultural experience and that some people have faith, but also there are those who must operate as if it does exist but not necessary personally.

Now we are at a point when some of the faithfuls do not agree with each other over a piece of land or who "God" was/is and trying very hard to eliminate each other.

Oh well...

Hello friend,
At this point in your life, where God came from might better be asked after you've asked and answered this question:
In Eternity, where will you be?
Your belief or doubt about God, Heaven, Hell and such things does not affect or change their absolute reality.
Please consider this request.
Ask God (if He's there) to reveal Himself to you - to make Himself real to you. Please don't ask with an arrogant or prideful heart, but ask in sincerety and humility and God Will answer.
Be careful how you ask. God may respond in the same way you ask.
God bless.
