It would not surprise me as there are all kinds of nuts in the world.
Why on earth would anyone support a ban on police using tasers?

The ban of these would be another rediculous ban. They have too many restrictions on them now and they are even afraid to draw their gun when they see someone else with one. Anyone who thinks they use these for no reason is crazy. I'm sure they go from school to school using them on kids when they don't need to. If you have ever taught in a school, you will realize these kids carry guns, knives and other weapons. Police have every right to protect themselves and others and if a kid gets zapped, he most likely deserved it and more.

When they use them on children in school and others that they don't need to in order to control them-That's who would support banning them.
Using them for crime, since they aren't restricted in sales to criminals, that's who would support banning them.
I know that Amnesty International was calling for a ban on them.
Just do a search on "taser bans", and you should have your answer.

I don't know about this but, if they do not taser you, wouldn't they shoot you.
