Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and the Four Agreements Companion Book. It will help with any type of levels of anxieties in social settings for withdrawls. I believe both books are fifty pages and very informative.

Take a public speaking class as soon as possible. Join the drama team, begin to socialize more on your own. Go to the library and look up books on anxiety, self improvement, being assertive, etc. good luck!.

It worked for me (years ago) by practicing in front of a mirror. I would engage in a conversation with a televsion talk show in the background as though I was a part of the show. It helped me to listen to the questions and formulate an answer and gave me the opportunity to observe how convincing (or not) that I looked in my delivery. It can't hurt you to try. Let me know if this works for you.

i don't know any... but i can tell you something:
when you meet new ppl say whatever is on your mind. If you screw up like real bad.. you don't need to see that person ever again! So that's a relief.. and if things go well you can see the person again

Such social acumen can be only gotten by socializing and listening to people and watching how they behave. No book can teach you how-to.
