I would like a quick recipe for making salisbury steak!
I dont have any mushrooms or cream of mushroom!

1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder

DIRECTIONS:
In a large bowl, mix together 1/3 cup condensed French onion soup with ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt and black pepper. Shape into 6 oval patties.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown both sides of patties. Pour off excess fat.
In a small bowl, blend flour and remaining soup until smooth. Mix in ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce and mustard powder. Pour over meat in skillet. Cover, and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Salsibury Steak 2lb ground beef 1 egg, beaten 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper 1 C bread crumbs 2 tsp onion, minced 1/2 C oatmeal 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 can milk 2tsp oil Mushrooms, if desired Mix ground beef, egg, salt, black pepper, bread cumbs, onions & oatmeal well. Make hamburgers into 3/4" patties. Brown patties in oil in skillet. Drain oil off burgers. Mix soup & milk together, add extra mushrooms if desired. Put patties back into skillet & pour soup mimxture ovver top. Cook on low heat for 20 min. (I usually end up turning them & cooking them another 20 min) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~... Poor Man's Steak - like salsibury 2 lb ground beef 1 1/3 C milk 2ts salt 1/4 ts pepper 2 C cracker crumbs 1 C water, or milk 2 cans mushroom soup butter Mushrooms, opt. Mix together first 5 ingredients. Pack into loaf pans. Let stand in fridge overnight or at least 6 hours. Cut into slices & brown in butter on stovetop. Mix soup with 1 C water (or milk). Add in mushrooms. Pour over meat placed back into loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.

I like to take chopped steak, onions, (peppers and mushrooms) if I have them.... cook together and add a brown gravy over it and cover and simmer.... my family loves it... its fast and easy..
