When I type ===, then I get a double line automatically.
I cannot remove that line. How should I do that?

Click Format/AutoFormat/Options/Auto Format As You Type and uncheck "Border Lines"

Immediately after the double-line shows up, go to the edit menu, click on undo autoformat.

The above instructions apply to Microsoft Office Word 2003.

Highlight it then hit the delete key, or backspace over it to remove. I had no problem doing it, but not sure what version you have or if the doc is protected.
