How many times can you re-heat a TV dinner and it still be edible?

I often work through lunch by heating a microwave dinner to eat at my desk. Then I get interrupted by phone calls, and etc. The food gets cold and I reheat it. I'm up to five reheats now. Think I can still eat this mess?

Hot foods should be kept hot, cold foods should be kept cold.

If it is eaten within a 2-4 hour period of the initial heat I think you are OK. Do NOT use the heating to prolong your "OKay" to eat period by 2 hours each time.

Microwaving heats unevenly and may not get it hot enough to kill all bacteria, especially since you are eating a little (introducing bacteria) and then letting it sit.

The number of times you reheat should not matter if you stay withing that initial time window. I.e. if you have to heat it 5 times within 1 1/2 hours it should be ok as long as the plastic tray does not break down/ melt on you.

Goodness, try eating a little faster, I would rather eat it cold than keep reheating it. My answer would be DON´T ANSWER THE PHONE FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES. I eat at my desk too, but there is a reason that the answering machine was invented!!

lol!! This is a really unique, and funny question!! I dont know how many times you could actually eat a tv dinner after re-heating it after a significant amount of time. I wouldnt eat it no less after re-heating it 2 times. Yuck!

I think the issue is how long it is out. I think that it wouldn't be too good the longer it is around or microwaved. It would get dry and lose flavor.

once i reheated mine twenty three times. i kept gettng bombarded by phone calls and suprise meetings and such. it gets a little mushy, but it's edible.
