Easy Lasagna
This is an easy way to make lasagna because you use uncooked noodles. No more burnt fingers!
1-1 1/2 lb ground beef
3 cups Ragu chunky tomato sauce with extra tomatoes onions and
garlic
3/4 cup water (rinse out sauce jar)
9 uncooked lasagna noodles
1 (16 ounce) container ricotta cheese
2 (8 ounce) bags of sliced mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
10 servings
1. Brown ground beef and drain.
2. Return to pan.
3. Add sauce and water.
4. Bring to boil.
5. Remove from heat.
6. In 9x13 pan, add small amount of sauce, then 3 uncooked noodles, half of ricotta cheese, 1/3 of the meat sauce, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
7. Add 3 more noodles, the rest of the ricotta cheese, about 1/3 of the sauce (be sure to save enough to cover the top), and the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
8. Top with the last 3 noodles, the rest of the sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
9. Cover with foil (very important) and bake for 1 hour in preheated 375° oven.
10. Let stand 15 to 20 minute before cutting into squares.
11. Note: You can break another noodle to fit the spaces if the noodles don't cover the whole layer, but I find they swell some as they cook.

my own way of cooking it is -
put the beef in a saucepan and add a jar of tomato paste, add some gravox gravy powder to the empty tomato paste jar (a couple of tables spoons full) add water until around half full, put the lid back on and shake well. Then add to the saucepan with the ground beef and tomato paste. When the meat is cooked through, add a thin layer of your mixture to the bottom of your Lasangna dish, then add a layer of instant lasagna strips, then another layer of the beef mixture, then a layer of cheese.... you carry on adding a layer of lasagna strips, layer of beef, layer of cheese until you finally end with the layer of cheese on the top. Cook at 200c for about half an hour with the top covered. (I use alfoil) then uncovered for another 15 minutes so the cheese browns a bit. Don't use too much beef or it will be too dry... I never do it by measurements, I just put in what I think looks right, so I can't really be too specific on the amounts used. All I can say is 250g tomato paste, 250 g instant lasagna, and I use low fat chedda cheese.... serve with garlic bread and salad. Happy cooking!

I usually make a sauce, just like spaghetti sauce. Brown onions and meat (though I don't eat beef because of mad cow disease), add spices and mushrooms, then crushed or diced tomatoes and simmer for a couple of house. You can add wine or wine vinegar and a little sugar to finish the taste. The sauce should be runny.
Next, put a little thin sauce in the bottom of your lasagne pan and add a layer of UNCOOKED lasagne noodles. Add a generous layer of meaty sauce, a layer of ricotta cheese, a little more thin sauce, parmesean, then more noodles, more sauce, some thawed and drained frozen spinach, thin sauce, mozzarella, noodles, and more sauce on top.
Cover with foil and bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover, top with mozzarella and parmesean; let that get brown and bubbly. Serve with garlic bread.
