I have two questions! First of all i found this sweet little boy walking down the middle of the highway! I had to bring him home, after going door to door putting up signs and putting an add in the paper no one claimed this sweetie so i decided to keep him! But i have two problems, eveyone says he looks like a purebred! I think he looks like a Chiuauaha/Papillion, is there any way i can be sure? And i need a good name for this sweet little boy but cannot come up with a good one! I'd appreciate any ideas! Thanks! Here are his Pix!!

i think he is a long haired chihuahua, but then....he looks an awful lot like a papillon...their ears always stand up..so if his doesn't he might be a chihuahua.

I would definitely take him to the Vet. I don't think anybody, including the Vet, can tell you FOR SURE whether or not he's a pure bred. Oftentimes this can only be told FOR SURE by registered papers. But I would want to know about how old he is, make sure he's healthy (especially if he's in contact with small children). Then love him to death! He's such a cutie! Don't think I've EVER seen one any cuter that was FREE! Lucky you! As far as a name it depends on what you like best...Twinkles is a cute dainty name. He's far too cute for the typical Charlie, Rex, etc. Lucky sounds pretty average for a name - nothing real unique about it - but I might would consider that because you were certainly lucky to be blessed with such a cute little sweetie!Or maybe "Blest" because you are. Or maybe "Dazzled" because that's what people will be when they see something so adorable. Or maybe something kinda cute with a unique kind of spelling, like Twilite (like twilight). Other usual dog names only add "ie" in the end...cause he's such a cutie...Classie (like Lassie, only with some class), Frankie, Happie (Like Happy), Jackie, Teddie, Maxie, Sammie, etc.. Another cute idea is to look for combinations of names in your family. For example, the first part of one of your names combined with the last part of your last name...or vice versa. Good luck. Loved the photos. He is a real darling!

I breed and show papillons and while he looks like he could definately be part papillon, he looks like a mix. Maybe with a jack russell as he appears to be thicker in the skull and have a much shorter coat than a papillon carries. If you want to see some papillons, go here http://www.cornsilkpapillons.com

He is lucky you have found him and are going to provide a nice home for him. When you have him at the vet's, they can scan him to see if he has a microchip implanted.

He looks like a a Chihuahua/jack Russel terrier

I would name him charlie, jack, or something about where and when you found him. He's really cute, but for sure isn't pure bred. If anything, ask the vet when you take him ,they can look at him better than we can in the pictures and will have more experience with the different breeds.

He looks like a mix breed. Jack Russell/Chihuahua. I say Jack Russell because he has their kind of markings and for the long hair his mom or dad could've been a long haired chihuahua. There's no way to be sure unless you've seen the parents.
He looks like a Joey that's what I would call him. He's too adorable.

He looks darling, but I doubt he is a purebred . If he is, someone will be advertising for him, watch the ads and call the local pound to see if anyone is asking for him. If you keep him, a name will probably come to you from his actions, like Frisky, Gremlin, Cricket ( if he hops a lot) or something. My pets always just about name themselves within a week.

Ohhhh my gosh....he's a baby doll. Take him to the vet and they can give you a better idea of what he is as well as how old. I think Oliver (Ollie for short) might be a good name...after Oliver Twist whose life was better after he was adopted and given a good home. Definitely take him to a vet to be looked over and make sure he has the shots he needs. Congratulations...I'm so jealous!

I think a great name would be cuddles or something sweet like it.
He is such a sweet little guy and looks like a very caring dog!
Bronnie doesn't work because so much of him is white and patches doesn't either. I thought about bandit, but it doesn't fit either. Good luck1
