I heard the the prison system has a large increase in believers of Norse mythology. Asatru. Does anyone out there believe? Sounds like a white supremecist organization to me.

It appeals to them because the basic premise was that glory in the afterlife was attained through bravery and violence in life. The road to a good afterlife was to die in battle. This is popular amongst violent criminals. Also, white folks, looking to appear tough, will sometimes claim viking heritage and get into viking mythology and religion because they think it'll make them seem tough. The fact is though that a very tiny percentage actually have any such lineage.

Yes I believe in Odin & Thor. Unfortunately Asatru has been hijacked by white supremacists and those who wear nazi stuff, but some research into Asatru would show you that it's not colour based nor is it sexually prejudiced at all.

unfortunately whenever someone mentions these gods and professing a belief in them in modern times, there is a good chance they are related to some form of white supremicist movement. These ancient gods have nothing to do wit hthis and if they ever existed are probably shuddering at the thought of being linked to these nuts.

Although the religion is basically dead, it survived for centuries after christianity was introduced to the region and actually may have influenced some branches of christianity.

You make fun because you don't understand. If you would just let Odin and Thor into your heart, you wouldn't be so miserable and confused.
