No and no. Praying wastes time that I could be used to figure out how to get out of the life threatening situation.

I did. then I read the bible instead of accepting the priest's version of it. Quickly I couldn't believe anymore. today I consider believers victims like me who believe because they don't know their religion. As for the second part...depends how I fell-if I really want to go on living which happens sometimes I'll most likely pray because I'm human and we're weak! Now, I won't pray like a believer but rather like a normal man (god, do f u c k i n g something and we'll discuss the details later0. If I won't care about living, and that happens sometimes, I wouldn't pray because there's no point in fighting something you want, right? Religions are the best businesses ever, even better than sex because one gets the chills more often than the erections.

I believe in Jesus, and think atheists are faking it because if they really didn't believe they wouldn't be so defensive about it all the time, they wouldn't CARE who believes in what and most of them do, so I would say yes when Most atheists have a life threatening situation they start praying even if its to themselves silently...

I don't believe that anything that creates many things would be singular or male...in a life-threatening situation, I would HOPE there was a gaurdian spirit of some sort that could help me out....but I definitely wouldn't 'pray' or expect a tempermental male deity to be there for me, after all, I'm neither male or Middle Eastern

I don't believe in god. However, yes, a few times in my life I have prayed anyway because I guess I had no other option.

I was raised Catholic, so I guess I still have those tendencies sometimes, even though I no longer am a believer.

I do believe in God. I also believe that people, without realising it, do pray when in danger or trouble of some sort. It is one of the first things we learnt to do while growing up and I believe subconsciously it stays with us.

No and no.
I dreamed I was stuck in an elevator that was going to fall and I didn't pray.
I was regretting that I hadn't visited my family since I turn 18, this is when I was 20. (Now, I visit them every year.)
I was thinking about how much it would hurt when the elevator crashed, but I'm proud to say I did absolutely no praying.

Yes, Been there, done that.
