if you include past present and those in cultures we haven't even begun to understand yet
there must be hundreds of god figures and each and every one of them important to the person who has faith in them
i don't believe that there needs to be one true god , i believe that every god and every name someone uses as god may be the same god but due to cultural and language differences the name simply changes
and then again maybe there are many gods who deal with different people in different ways who knows
what matters is that the people following their god live a good life and do not hate, judge or bring harm to anyone else

Many people around the world believe in the Abba father God. The father of Christ, the Begining and the End. He is the most recogized God around the world. Almost every country in the world has at least a small poulation that believes and worships Him.

There is only one God but people call him/her by many names and then declare that their's is the only right name and the only right path. If people would allow for others to worship in their own way to the one God, things would be a lot better on this little planet.

It's not how many God(s) are there? It's how many different ways to believe in the same entity are there? So far as proof goes, look at the stife in the world and ask yourself...Would God allow what's happening to be going on? PEACE!

According to the Bible:
There are three. God the Father. God the Son. God the Holy Spirit. Three separate persons but one being and one essence.
There are also many gods. There are many gods and many lords. But for us there is one God and one Lord.
If one god can exist then it must be possible for other gods to exist as well. We are to worship the god that gave us life.

It is probably the greatest human tragedy. Over the centuries GOD sent many prophets to us who over & over told us that there is but one GOD. However we choose to have made our seperate gods due petty political/economical reasons. Thus creating endless strifes & bringing on the human race problems which continue to run for centuries over without any papable solution. May be some day we shall get over this absurd idea of many GODS & instead go as per GOD's word worship one GOD & embrace all men as children of that one GOD & end the strife for ever.

There is but one God, just different names for the spirit.
Religions are about the prophet, not the spirit.
It is how you respect that spirit by doing good works that matters.
I do believe in a higher power but I also believe that Atheists who do good work merely because it is the right thing to do, not expecting a reward, will be welcomed into the kingdom
