I recently had my hair cut and got a fringe put in (a full one), the day my hairdresser cuts it, it always goes and looks great, but now when i wash it and straighten it it looks silly after an hour or so because it seems to separate instead of staying all as one, why does it do this? how can i stop it please? Can it be something to do with the way i blow dry or straighten it?

that happened to my sister, if you a keep a comb nearby and constantly keep straightening it, it will eventually go flat intead of going sideways. also try straightening it after washing it using a wet-to-dry straightener while its damp. you just have to be patient and consistent - it will go flat with a few weeks time. hope it helps!

I have the same prob, which is why I haven't had a fringe since school.

Suggest you blow dry your hair into the centre i.e. when using your round bristle brush to straighten, pull your hair from the left side over towards the right, and the hair from the right over towards the left, hence covering the centre. You could also try angling your hairdryer upwards instead of downwards and blowing your fringe back over your head, not down over your face. Just do something different from what you normally do, as this 'confuses' your hair and helps it to not behave as it normally would.

Alternatively, ask your hairdresser for help.

If your hair has had a parting for a while this can happen i think. My hair naturally parts in the middle hence I never have a fringe. My suggestion would be to grab the hair, twist it and clip it up either in two halves on each side on just one twist in the middle. You may be able to persuade it to stay put with a strong hair glue/putty (VO5 do a good one) used as you run straighteners over it.

I'm lucky here my fringe always lays flat, try straightening it in two layers (underside first then the top then all of it) comb it down, if it isn't flat go over it once more with the straightener, once done smooth the fringe down with smoothing serum and brush through

i have always found ladies in hats attractive.

if you use a hair brush to help you straighten the fringe, brush under your fringe "not your face, your hair" with the bristles facing away from you,
hope that helps.
