There is a island next to Kho PhiPhi in Thailand where they filmed the movie "The beach". There is a Lagoon surrounded by huge rock face. The water is warm and calm. The sand is smooth and fine. There are millions of tiny colourful fish. Its heaven...

Here are my picks:
Antigua...its an island in the caribbean with amazing clear blue waters, i think 365 different beaches, and amazing scenery. i went there on a cruise, and i didnt want to leave. it was perfect!
Aruba...very civilized and a lot of tourists. amazing beaches with soft white sand...perfect!
Hawaii...wonderful beaches with perfect warm waters. its also very civilized so you dont feel like you are by yourself on some deserted island.
But other than those, try searching online, or looking through some travel brochures for good ideas.

I agree with Odie, I was going to the same thing--however with the Tsunami, who knows if it's been totalled, still it is the most beautiful spot in the world.
