The next school year begins in September 2006 and ends in July 2007. The one after that begins in September 2007 and ends in July 2008.
The best way to find out the actual holiday dates would be to check the website of the particular school by searching online. If the school has a website, and most do, it should include term and holiday dates.
Failing that, the Local Education Authority or LEA will have the general term/holiday dates (search online for their website) but these will differ slightly from school to school depending on when each school has their INSET (teacher training) days.
Generally speaking, though, you have holidays as follows:
Half term in October for about 1 week
Christmas in December for around 2 weeks
Half term in February for about 1 week
Easter in March/April for about 2 weeks
Half term in May/June for about 1 week
Summer hols in July/August/September for about 6 weeks.
Hope that helps.

you dont say if that's the first time your toddler has ever been faraway from you or no longer. maximum youthful ones are very conscious and do not forget that oldsters are disappointed about how their toddler ought to or may no longer slot in with college and its ordinary, and they could no longer understand why, so that they're going to act out how they experience to make certain their figure reactions and in the experience that they could get their way (pass abode the position there aren't any demands on their own time and moves). All toddlers (or very nearly all) truly appreciate college and the social interaction with others. i'm a figure and function labored with toddlers and households for over 2 a lengthy time period, and all (or very nearly all of toddlers) go by a era of transition, of various length. I easily have had toddlers with little or no reaction of the start of faculty, and others who've cried for everywhere from a couple of minutes to quite a few hours ( and different days). i got here across that for the great factor about both figure and instructor, that making use of a digicam to record the activities of the day (showing the youngsters and their reactions to the activities and faculty commonly) help the most by this era. the transitional era typically lasts everywhere from some days to as a lot as six weeks. also you want to attempt to fulfill with the instructor a minimum of once in this era to enable the instructor understand if there is something else contained in the childs family individuals existence that ought to brazenly effect a childs properly-being (alterations in family individuals existence, an damage/ailment, and so on) so as that the instructor knows and can make allowances contained in the lecture room. also in case your toddler is having issues that is sweet for both one among you, in case you go away after affirming solid-bye on the door, and then go away at present (this cuts down on the persevered crying and of the figure of inflicting the youngster extra suffering ie seeing the figure disappointed or crying) and then making particular you're there and prepared on your toddler on the top of their day (or a minimum of letting your toddler understand who will be there to get them), yet make certain you aren't to any extent further peeking contained in the abode windows or doors this can disappointed no longer purely your own toddler, yet others too.

the accurate info on this would lie within your school district. you have federal holidays. that's a given but regional holidays change. example of this is lincoln's birthday. it's celebrated in the north but not celebrated in the south. this is a hold-over from the civil war days. columbus day is an optional day while arbor day is considered a holiday in the northwestern part of the usa. by the way, if you are canadian, all bets are off & it becomes something else. anyway, check your regional school board. they can't operate without a calendar of their own (which they'll share if you ask).
