Well ive been a licenced cosmetologist for over a year now and im not making that much i make about 10 dollars an hour plus tips . Unless you have a full clientel and you booth rent your not going to make that much and remember some people dont tip. Its very hard your first few years but i dont let myself get dissipointed someday it will get better

Less than $5000.00 for each of the first and second years. After that, as I built a steady clientele, the money went up. It takes at least 2 years in any location to build a client base. Every time you change salons expect to loose 20% of your clients over a six month period. It is a good income, but it is not something you are given but something you have to earn over time. my sister lost her soul doing that it is a cut throat back stabbing way to make money if u dont have your shop and try to work for somebody else
