You would be better off to compress the clover under glass against a cardboard backing. A water-based liquid would eventually wear down and dissolve the cells of the clover leafs.

You could also just press it between the pages of a book. Put a weight on it and eventually it will dry out but last almost forever. Or just frame it under glass in a little frame that you could get very cheap at someplace like Wal*Mart.

dont use any liquid, press it in the pages of a book in a few days it will be dry, after a few more days you can take it to one of the stores that has a machine that seals things, like drivers license, etc in plastic, a laminating machine, often printing places have these, and you can laminate it in between the plastic, then punch a hole in the plastic and put it on your key chain or something

Use 50% methyl alcohol. It will help it to remain green.

U may also press it between papers to dry it. Then u can preserve it.

You know what i did?
i compressed it in a picture frame so no oxygen makes contact with it. So far it has stayed Green =)
