Many of the "Holy" traditions you speak of came from pagan rites and rituals
How did Paul tell of Christ? Did he use tradition?
Paul, as was his custom, went in to them, and for three Sabbath days reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, "This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ." Acts 17:2
He used the scriptures
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for TRAINING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, that the man of God may be COMPETENT, equipped for EVERY good work.”
Scripture equips us for EVERY good work.
How did Jesus live? by the scriptures
1) Look at Jesus, When he was tempted he quoted Deuteronomy.
2)Jesus gave us new laws Love God and love your neighbor.
Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
Leviticus 19:18 'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD
3)On the Cross Jesus quoted Psalm 22
4)He said "anyone who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not worthy of the kingdom of God" That’s from Kings it is from the story of Elijah
5)He quoted Isaiah to Speak against the teaching of tradition.
Mark 6:6-8 He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: " 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.' You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."
6)Everything Jesus said and did was according to the Scriptures, he did not create new traditions. Even the New Covenant is found in the Old testamnet. Jeremiah 31:27 & Daniel
Eph. 6:13-17 says
Therefore put on the FULL armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the WORD OF GOD.
It says the full(meaning complete) armor makes you able to stand against the evil, then it mentionss every peice of equipment, yet it fails to mention the "Spear of Tradition."
How do we understand the Bible?
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Isaiah 28:10
By comparing scripture with scripture line with line
Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.Acts 17:11
The scriptures tell of the will of God not traditions. The teachings of the Apostles conformed with the scriptures.

According to the Wesleyan Quadrilateral, tradition is just one of three other sources that Christians use to determine practice.
Tradition, Experience, Scripture, and Reason.
Tradition: The history of The Church
Experience: Personal relationship with Christ multiplied by the community.
Scripture: The Holy Bible
Reason: Rational and logical thinking
I disagree with some of the points that John Wesley made, particularly the idea that all four sources are on the same plane, thus the Quadrilateral. As a Protestant, I would say that Scripture is above the other three as it indeed has the final authority. However, I do not think we should throw the Quadrilateral out. It just needs a bit revising as it is a pretty solid basis and schema for contemporary Christian and Catholic belief.

No, we perform Baptism (as the Bible shows us how, not sprinkling infants) and we recieve communion. The other traditions like Passover and such, can still be celebrated but are not nessisary
Co, 2:16-17 16Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

The bible is the WORD OF GOD, wo where does every one get al these other "traditions" that are not mentioned in the Holy Scriptures?
What makes a tradition holy, if not god himself? Maybe I'm not clear on the question, but The bible is clear on what we should and should not do.

The Protestants follow the Latin phrase "Sola Scriptura", which is translated in English as "By Scripture alone", or "Scripture only". Protestants reject the way tradition is so revered in Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy, and don't view the Holy Tradition as holy.

A strong argument for the Catholic Faith! Protestant religions have all spun-off at some point from the True Church by breaking either with tradition or by rejection of doctrine.

Sadly, they have to a large degree. This is one way we know they have separated themselves by varying amounts, from the true church Jesus established. They claim the BIBLE is the beginning point of Christianity and the "final authority" and in so doing they set themselves up in a different church than the one of Jesus Christ.

Jesus fought tradition. Jesus was called a heretic. When it becomes a mechanical habit it is not longer worth anything. God looks on the heart and not on following rituals.
