Absolutely. I don't doubt for a minute the possibility that an evolutionary process took place within God's creation plan.

The better way to phrase this question is... where does the bible fit in with evolution?

And the answer is simple. The bible was written less than 2000 years ago. It was a primitive theory about the origins of the universe, and the nature of existence.

Science has expanded upon this since then, and proven these original theories to be incorrect. Unfortunately, this bible also contained many laws, philosophies, and traditions that people did not want to let go of. And to this day, the bible is so ingrained in our culture that even though the majority of people know the facts that disprove it, they simply ignore them and pretend they don't.

The bible is ancient mythology, nothing more. And this is so easy to see if you can simply have the courage to let go of it! Everything makes sense once you remove that religious insanity from your life.

The problem that so many people have these days, is that they try so hard to make religion "work" with the knowledge we have gained since its creation. And this is a fruitless and frustrating endeavor, because it will NEVER work. This is why so many Christians talk themselves in circles. Because the truth is obvious. The religion is false!

That doesn't mean there's no god, necessarily. But it certainly shows that the Christian bible is not true. And that's a start. The rest will come to you in time.

Another Story of Creation
Maybe the story of creation, right or wrong is a factual though possibly poetic account of creation. In that case, maybe poetic license was taken in using the word “day”. If you read Proverbs, the account is more scientific and appears more realistic.

“The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I have been established from everlasting, from the beginning, before there was even an earth. When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I was brought forth; while as yet He had not made the earth or the fields, or the primal dust of the world.

When He prepared the heavens, I was there, when He drew a circle on the face of the deep, when He established the clouds above, when He strengthened the fountains of the deep, when he assigned the sea its limit, so that the waters would not transgress His command, when He marked out the foundations of the earth, then I was beside Him as a Master Craftsman.” -- Proverbs 8:22-30

How would anyone back then know that the Earth had a beginning? Until the “Big Bang” was accepted, most people believed in an eternal universe.

How would anyone back then know that the mountains arose and were not created when the Earth was created? I do not think this took one day. The primal dust sounds like atomic particles. Who else in 4,000 BC spoke of this? How long did it take to prepare the heavens? Again, it does not sound like one day.

Figuring out how to set limits on the waters and the foundations of earth sounds like a powerful science, and maybe even some trial and error. Science is finding our universe is highly designed.

Who was the Master Craftsman? A Master Craftsman designs and builds. Jesus was a carpenter, and a carpenter is a designer and a builder. Was this Jesus beside God when the universe, earth and man were created? Regardless, this is an awesome, and to me, a more realistic account of creation than the genesis account, that is in the same bible.

It depends on how you interpret the bible. If you take the Bible literally, and evolution for what we understand of it, than you are believing that god created us in his image. And that image is a monkey or a single celled organism.
Or you could believe that god put evolution into play so we would end up in his image. But then that doesn't mean we are finished evolving yet. God may look nothing like a human, and we are progressing into that image.
This is a tough question that may not have any true answer.

The bible is only at odds with evolution if you believe in a LITERAL interpretation of the bible.

And a literal interpretation would also mean that you'd have to believe that (1) bats are birds (2) pi=3.00 (3) rabbits chew the cud (4) the earth is flat (5) the earth is square, etc.

Each of those are literally stated in the bible, but of course they're factually false.

I think that very few people are gullible enough to believe in a literal bible once they encounter these facts.

Evolution does not fit into the Bible. Try this link.

no, Read the first few pages of The Bible.. It doesn't say God put there bacteria and waited for it to grow and perhaps turn into a man or monkey or somethin.

Besides why do people try so hard to find the "missing link" I mean if there were animals in between then wont theyre be more animals in between the evolutionary cycle instead of the Beginning and the End?

Btw, Lucy was later called a monkey and called a mistake find.

I believe in both. We know scientifically that millions of years have held other lifeforms before humankind came to our planet. When the Bible was written, I don't think the seven days in which humankind and the planet and all the animals were created by God is a literal week, seven days as we know it.

I think the Bible refers to the first humans not as the first humans ever, but the beginning of human form as we know it. Evolutionary changes occurred, and we are obviously descended from other creatures, and I think the Bible is trying to mark the beginning of life at that point in which we were finally walking fully erect, having our brains and body and reason fully developed.

I believe a god or alien form brought life to our planet, and that those "seven days" was a quick summation of millions of years of development, destruction, renewal. Written by humans who did not have the scientific understanding or knowledge of life before Adam and Eve, the Bible is a moral testament and guide to live, not an exact science.

The Bible says that God created man in Our own image---in the image of the Trinity---Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The ability to make decisions, to decide about ones on future, the ability to recognize your own face in the mirror, and to believe in a creator or a Heavenly Father. Those are traits not given to animals.

Apes, Chimps, Baboons, are all cute, sweet, and charming, but they are still animals. God did not require reverence from animals. In fact, God put man in dominion over animals.

The Bible and the Theory of Evolution are in direct opposition-- Much like Good and Evil. If Satan can get a ton of people to believe that God did not have the power to create the universe, man, woman, and every other thing that exists, then he can also temp you with every other sin he has waiting for you in his bag of tricks.

Remember: Satan was created by God. All of Satan's followers, Demons, were created by God. They only have whatever power God sees fit to allow them to have.

Absolutely. And now you may remove your blinders. Creationism and evolution are just two pieces to a very large and complex puzzle. There are many other science-based theories and discoveries other than Darwinism that deal with the entire universe and in most cases a 'pure' creationist feeling is the glue that binds all the hypothesis.

The Bible is what's correct.
Darwin said in the opening pages of his book, they knew for certain Evolution was a fact, then in the very next paragraph, said they knew very little about it.

100 plus years later, they still know very little, and have proved very little. Until the Kingdom comes they will always look for the 'missing link'..
