Guys want women who look gorgeous so people will look and think wow whats he got that I haven't, they don't care as much about their looks just how good a woman looks on his arm.
I think he was trying to say no to you nicely, take it as a compliment he thinks enough of you as a friend to want to not hurt your feelings by saying no outright.
You've got a good friend there

Some guys have inferiority complexes, especially when young, that some girls are "out of their league."
He's probably worried that he'll have too much competition for your affections - judging by your photo you are very attractive, so that may be the case - and he doesn't want hurt if you do get a better offer. You say you are close mates, so maybe he'd rather keep you as a mate, than risk your friendship on a fling that doesn't last.
Take it as a compliment, but keep friends - if its supposed to happen it will eventually, and if its not supposed to happen, you've still got a friend that respects you.

I was once told to never date an attractive girl as you could never trust your mates. But my mates are better than that. I have seen beautiful women with real minger guys and have wondered what the attraction is or was. Maybe you friend is using reverse psychology, If he says that perhaps he hopes that you would be interested in him or perhaps it is a backhanded compliment.

Sounds like he is insecure with his looks, and the fact that he thinks you look good plays on his insecurities. if you want to pursue a relationship you need to return his compliments and find out how he really feels. If he truly thinks only of you as a friend he will let you know ..... and if this fails just give him a snog ..... after all 'its in his kiss'

What a load of rubbish. A true gentleman would go on personality not looks. But i suppose you have to have a little something about you for him to take note. Maybe your smile would be the key.

i believe its better to have a nice girl than a pretty girl (pretty face no personality) . personallity is the most important factor in any relationship and if theres no personality then that relationship wont last to long and yes it is possible to have both, chances are he was trying to say he wasnt interested in a nice way. i looked at your 360 you wont be single for long
