Nobody knows the true identity of the antichrist. Everybody says "Oh, George Bush is the antichrist, just look at the facts". Bush couldn't possibly be the antichrist, because the Bible says the antichrist will be enormously popular, and I don't think George Bush's 30 something percent approval rating warrants him as the antichrist.

The bible claims that antichrist is satan's man just like christ is god's man. I claim that they are all stupid and antichrist is whoever they want it to be. Religions are man-made so it's normal to get face-lifts and clarifications as people evolve so expect an answer about antichrist in the next bible edition.

Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwel. ha! Just kidding.

I don't believe there is one person who is the antichrist. There have been many antichrists through out history and there will be many more in the millenia to come.

We won't know the identity of the Antichrist until he stands in the newly built temple claiming to be the Savior.

An opponent or disbeliever in Christ

The great antagonist of Christ, expected to spread universal evil before the end of the world, but finally to be conquered at the second coming of Christ.

His actually identity will not be known until he is actually in power, but I personally believe he is alive today as an ordinary person but not yet possessed by the spirit of Satan.

He is not identified by name in the Scripture, but he will be a powerful yet charismatic man Satanically energized to be able to solve the world's problems, counterfeit miracles from God and etc. His spectrum will be global and his influence will be absolute. The world in general will have to swear sovereignty to him or face the consequences associated with "heretical influence."
