I am and so is my husband. I think it would be the greatest gift you could give anyone... family or stranger.

I am an organ donor and I have in my will for the doctors to take anything. Eyes, skin, hair, bones, blood, organs. Anything that still works, take it. I don't need it anymore. Also my husband and I have decided that if, God forbid, any of our 4 kids die, we will donate any part of them. Once you die, the spirit lives, but the physical body is no longer needed.
I want to give blood, but I hate needles and the one and only time I tried to give blood, God was telling me not to do that. I went to give blood at a blood drive in a church fellowship hall. The nurse put the needle in and my vein kept rolling and she kept stabbing. I had a bruise from wrist to bicep. Then to beat all, I went to leave and someone had side swiped my new car. I took that as a sign and haven't tried it since! It has been 11 years since that happened and I will probably try again when our church does it in the fall. But, I swear, if something like that happens again. Forget it!

I'm an organ donor. They can do what they want with my flesh after I'm dead. They don't give us the little red hearts here.
I don't actually think organ transplants are really that good a deal. My friend in junior high lost his father due to an infection during a liver transplant. Even if it goes well, you have to take immunosuppressants to keep your body from rejecting the foreign organ. I'm thinking I would rather die than take a transplanted organ.
But, if somebody wants one of mine, they're welcome to it.

Yes, I am an organ donor. I've alway felt that it was very important to be one. Why leave me with something that I can't use when someone else could benefit with it for years. I will keep your friend in my prayers.

I feel it is the right thing to do, an obvious yes. Anything that can be used, take it. Skin, bone, organs, I don;t care. It doesn't even really bother me if a company makes many off of it. I haev seen bone grafts used everyday in my job and they are carefully used, never wasted.

I'm having twins and have donated my umbilical cord blood to a blood bank. Most people don't know they can do this but it does save lives, and there is almost no chance you will ever need your own cord blood (because it would be bad by the time you would need it) so by putting it in the cord blood bank you automatically put your child on the list for cord blood donation should they need it ever.

No I don't. But it is in my living will which is on file at all 7 area hospitals. My dad was killed when I was 4 and someone out there has a kidney and one of his eyes.
