I think we spend too much time on semantics. I do agree that you should be baptized, but whether it is in Jesus name or in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost, I don't think that matters. We get so hung up on the little things that we miss the big picture. The thief on the cross was never baptized and Jesus said today you will be with me in paradise.

I have often wondered why they believe that only Jesus exist. In St John 3 vs 16 the bible mentions the father and the son as two separate individuals. Many other scriptures do. When Paul gave the commission to be baptised in Jesus' name ,one needs to understand that the Jews at that time believed in God and the Holy Spirit but not in Jesus. They were looking for a Messiah but not a person born to a poor carpenter. The comission of Jesus in Matthew 28 will always stand. They have often told me the same thing but i tell them to go read the bible and other biblical history to get their facts straight. And are they God to tell me that I am not going to heaven? The bible states that if I keep the commandments of God then I will be saved. They cannot beat that...

I am a devout Christian, and can prove, you do not have to be baptized to enter into the Kingdom Heaven. Consider the Thief on the Tree with Jesus. Jesus assured him he would this day be in Paradise with Me. There was no baptism involved. I have been baptized to follow the example Jesus made when He asked John the Baptist to baptize him. But that is what Baptism is, following Jesus and affirming your faith. This is the act of rebirth. When the Pator immerses you, it means being buried and when you arise, you are born again..Therefore, I am a born again Christian.

I think you need to review the second chapter of Acts and realize that where the question was asked "Men and bretheren, WHAT MUST WE DO TO BE SAVED? that the answer was, "Repent AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Seems to be pretty "cut and dried" that without water baptism, it's impossible to get into heaven. It is a symbolism of your old sins and lifestyle being buried in the grave and covered in the Blood. "Confessing with the mouth" is a profession of your faith, not a method of conversion to be used in lieu of Acts Chapter 2.

all of them have self belief in it till they're new to this church and do not realize yet. even inspite of the actuality that they have got self belief in talking in tongues, purely 6% easily do (in accordance to what I heard). the percentage ought to have replaced of route. even if the clarification to have self belief is that it really is interior the Bible and the Bible is galvanized you recognize. if you're an evangelical Christian you need to in basic terms recognize the Bible is galvanized and talking in tongues in really there. study the e book of Acts over 3 circumstances and by skill of this time you'll see further and further. God needs to open your eyes to appreciate his will and what he's doing. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the beginning of the spirit-crammed life. having the flexibility to wish (and doubtless sing and talk) in tongues is information of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Baptism provides Christians more suitable boldness to witness and tongues is amazingly helpful to those who've it yet looks nonsense to those who do not understand. i'm able to point some books which could actually help understand which includes "They talk with different tongues" by skill of John and Elizabeth Sherrill. it really is been round a lengthy time period even if it really is between the superb and proves without a shadow of a doubt that praying and talking in tongues is actual and that it has a helpful objective. study Acts one million:5, 8; 2:4 and 19:4-6, then study the completed e book of Acts and that i Corinthians 14, Epesians 4:7-16.

The thief on the cross could not get down off his cross and get baptized and yet Jesus, who was next to him said, "This very day you will be with me in paradise."
Baptism is an important sacrament that says to the world, "Look what happened to me on the inside! Jesus has cleansed me from all my sins!"
However, participating in the sacrament is not essential for salvation.

Oneness Pentecostals take their baptismal formula (in Jesus name) from many of the epistles, which they quote as proof of the correct way to baptize. When the epistles say to baptize in the name of Jesus, it means baptize to the authority of Jesus. Think of it as a police officer telling you to "stop in the name of the law". They want you to stop because of the authority of the law. We are to be baptized in Jesus' name, because He is the authority. As you mentioned, Jesus Himself said believers are to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

I was baptised as a child without my permission. Can I be unbaptised? If there is a heaven, I don't want to end up in there with that lot. Plus I live in the UK with a menopausal wife and a teenage daughter, so what the hell kind of a threat is hell? It'll be a holiday camp.

READ ACTS 2: 38. IF YOU ARE NOT BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS YOU WILL NOT ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. YOU ARE PROMISED THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST IF YOU FOLLOW THE LORD'S COMMANDMENTS AND BE BAPTIZED IN JESUS' NAME. YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE INFILLING OF THE HOLY GHOST TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. AS FOR THE ONENESS BELIEF, WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN JUST JESUS. WE BELIEVE IN GOD TOO. JESUS AND GOD ARE ONE. JESUS IS GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH. I KNOW YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND THIS BUT IF THE LORD SHOWS IT TO YOU YOU WILL. PLEASE PRAY FOR THE UNDERSTANDING.
