For dinner I'm thinking of having sweet and sour pork ribs, english style, the recipe is:

3 lb Pork Short Ribs * 1 1/2 c Hot Water
8 ea Heaping T Dark Brown Sugar 2 t Seasoned Salt
1/3 c Catsup 1 t Pepper
1/4 c Red Wine Vinegar 2 ea Cloves Garlic, Minced
2 c Sliced Onion 2 ea Large Bay Leaves

Trim excess fat from short ribs. Combine flour, seasoned salt and pepper;
dredge shrot ribs. Brown ribs in oil on all sides in Dutch oven. Remove
meat from pan. Add onions and cook until golden brown. Place ribs on top
of onions. Combine water, brown sugar, catsup, vinegar, garlic and bay
leaves; pour over ribs. Cover and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees F.)
2 1/2 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving.

For dessert I'm going to have vanilla ice cream with crumpled up cookies and fudge sauce.

I'm thinking that I'd like to have someone else cook for a change.
Seriously, I'm having chicken stir fry.

3 boneless, skinless breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 bags frozen California Blend (broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots)
1 can bamboo shoots
1 can water chestnuts
1 can baby corn

Put frozen veggies into strainer. Run water over them to thaw.
Brown chicken (I use an extra large electric skillet) on high heat.
Add veggies and drained canned goods.
Stir frequently
While this is frying, cook rice.

Sauce:

1 Tblsp chicken base or 3 buillion cubes
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp ginger (optional)
1/4 cup sugar or to taste
3 Tblsp flour
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
Mix all ingredients with fork or wire wisk. Pour over chicken mixture. Stir frequently untill thickened. Serve over rice. You can also add peppers and onions or any other vegetable of your choice. Quick and easy. We're having watermelon for dessert.

probably roasted and seasoned chicken with a small salad on the side with French dressing. Then for dessert-- I was thinking about a cookies&cream ice cream push pop. Maybe lemonade or just water for the drink.
