Yes, Frontline is water proof. There is no exact time to wait for you to give it a bath but, from experience, I suggest at least 3 days. The best way to do this is to give the dog a bath and apply the frontline the following day (when the coat and skin are completely dry).

The best thing to do is to give your pooch a bath then wait 24 hours before applying frontline. This way, your pooch is clean and the medicine will be more effective. I always bathe my dog 2 days before his fronline is due. Then I brush him down the day I apply. After you apply the frontline, wait about an hour and brush him again to insure even distribution, while staying away from spots he's likely to lick. Either way, wait atleast 2 days after applying frontline to give a bath.

My vet recommends there be a six day waiting period. He says there should be no bath given for three days before applying Frontline and that you should wait three days after applying it. I have done this every time I give my toy poodle Frontline and he never has fleas or ticks. The vet also recommends you apply Frontline once a month during tick season and once every three months the rest of the time.
