what prophesies? what about no one knows when He will return?

1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 says:
Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
Matthew 24:3-8 says:
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Yes, we are living in the "Latter Days". I would strongly encourage you to investigate the Church of Jesus Christ of "Latter-day" Saints.
