Jesus was asked the same question and He said the most important thing is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. The next most important thing is to love your neighbor as yourself.
Also, I would say that if you can get the love part down, you can pretty much get anything else listed in the Fruit of the Spirit passage.

Gal 5:22
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
NIV
If you walk in those two verses, the world will know that you are a Christian.
Talk to you Father, so you will have a relationship and He will know you.
In Christ.

I think you will find that you will have to focus on one area or another at specific times during your life. There will be times when showing grace will be difficult (see the other answers to your question.)
I think the most important thing is to be as open and loving as you can. Leave the judgement to God (I know that's hard).

The Bible says we are to walk upright and with integrity. We are to follow the word of God, and show it in our daily lives. The Bible speaks of the fruits of the spirit and how they are a witness to the true Christian.( A true Christian will have these) Some being Love, joy, kindness, mercy, longsuffering. As we grow in the Lord, the Holy Spirit will begin to guild us . As we follow, these fruits can be seen in our walk.

Above all else, love God with your whole heart, soul, and mind. Second, love mankind as you would yourself. Everything else falls under those two things (Matthew 22:37). You could be able to prophecy, speak in tongues, understand hidden mysteries, have the faith to move mountains, give every cent you have to the poor, or face certain death for your standing up for your beliefs... without being able to love people, even your worst enemies, as if they were your own flesh and blood, it is all in vain. (1 Corinthians 13, Matthew 5:43-44).
You could have joy, peace, mercy, hope, and every other Christian virtue... but for what good is it without love of your fellow man? "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). God didn't do that out of mercy, or grace, or joy... but out of love. "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love." (1 John 4:8) "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. " (1 John 4:16).

"And the greatest of these is love."
We are taught to love each other as Christ loved the Church, to the point of laying down his own life.
And of course the first commandment: "I am the Lord thy God and you should have no other God's before Me"
If you put nothing before that which is of God and you love others as Christ loved the church, you cannot help having a relationship with Him and living the christian life. But nobody says it's gonna be easy, you have to take up your cross daily and follow Him.

Obedience to Almighty God and His teachings in the Bible. Especially the teachings of His Son, Jesus.
If you have that quality you will have every other one also.
Some will say that love is the most important quality. The apostle Paul says this directly. However, Jesus said, "Those who love me are those who obey my word". So that love and obedience go hand in hand.. Obedience without love is not obedience, and love without obedience is not love.

Love. All of them are important, but when you love, you will have peace, joy, grace, etc.
