This is not a joke, as a lot of you assume my posts always are. This is really disturbing me.

I just had another one the other day. It all started on the first anniversary (9/11/02). I dreamt I was floating over NYC and saw terrorists in a hot air balloon shooting rockets at the Twin Towers. Then, I dreamt that I was tied up in an airplane, with terrorists in the cockpit taking the plane in a kamikaze dive toward a nuclear power plant.

Also, one time I was sleeping on a plane and dreamt that terrorists were killing a 14-year-old girl just for the fun of it, and telling us that we were all going to die. Finally, once I dreamt that I had a girlfriend, and I was planning to propose to her after her plane landed. Guess what flight.

What does this mean? It continues to haunt me, and some of the stories I read about the actual events just break my heart.

I had a few nightmares about it after it happened. One particular dream I had was of the people in the building trying to hold up the floors above them with their arms (we could see them holding it up with their arms from far away). It upset me pretty bad. If you're still having recurring nightmares about this, I would strongly recommend that you see a psychiatrist or therapist. It doesn't mean that you're nuts, just that you've obviously been having a tough time dealing with this. Do you spend a considerable amount of your "awake" time thinking about 9/11 or do you surf the internet looking for stuff related to it, etc? If this is the case, you may want to refocus your attention elsewhere. What's done is done and we need to learn to let go and move on.

Nope, but I know a cpl ppl who claim to have PTSD over it. It was horrific and things like 9/11 will have different effects on different ppl. I suggest you may want to talk to a counselor about your nightmares. I do share the sentiment about the events breaking your heart. I cannot even begin to imagine what the ppl at ground zero were thinking as everything unfolded.
