I have 12x12 foot ceramic tiles that I have no use for.

I don’t want to use them in my house, my garage doesn’t need tiles, and I can’t take them back to the store.

What else can I use them for?

I was thinking of using them outside. Not to walk on but for a design or something.

Maybe I could sell them? I have about 150 square feet.

Any help?

If you wish to sell them, put an ad in your local newspaper or maybe include them in your next garage sale. 150 sq. ft. just might be enough for someone to tile an entry or small bath or mudroom floor.

some ceramic tile is polished to a high gloss, while some is matte finish. for the floor, a high gloss would be dangerously slippery. a matte finish is best. is the grout white? too bad if it is, because there are so many colors of grout to choose from nowadays that dont show the dirt like white does. there is a product you can apply to the grout to protect it. i suspect that it is what is used in the restaurants and public washrooms. whatever you do, dont apply a high gloss finish to your ceramic floor tile. the grout sealer comes with easy to follow directions. make sure and clean or bleach the grout first before you apply the sealer

Make a small side table and use them as the table top. It could be a patio table. We did that with a bunch of leftover tiles, some of which were broken, and pieced them together on top of a wooden side table. It looked really nice.

my aunt used them outside under her covered patio..
maybe you can used it there or on a front porch, or as a walk way!!
Just be careful if you live in area like we do that has a lot of humidity the tiles become slippery and also when it rains!! But it makes for a pretty area!!!

You could try e-bay or selling them through your local newspaper, other people may find that a great find if it's cheaper than retail price. Otherwise, I know alot of people that use those for mosaic tables when you break one or two tiles, if they are unfinished the'd be great at decoupage for pictures, etc.

If you bought some bricks you could use them as either a table top, bar top, use them if you have a wall up to excenuate it or here in Phila, CC I see alot of ppl break them up and use them as designs on walls, like a mosaic mural. You could also look in the phone book for your local habitat for humanity and donate them for a tax write off.

You could sell them. or if they were a light colored tile, you could go to a craft store and get paints and make designs or prints on them and put a hanger ( by 3M) on the back of them and sell them or keep them to hang on your walls as artwork.

You can break them up into smaller pieces and use them to cover a patio or backyard tabletop using the pieces and grout. Keep a few in case you need to replace one in your home too.
