I guess the pro-war lobby thinks hundreds of thousands dead, thousands displaced, 100 civilians being murdered a day, people afraid to go outside, widespread kidnapping, people and buildings be blown to up right and left, no power or safe drinking water, parents afraid to sent their kids to school is freedom. At the G-8 the audience even cracked up when Putin told Bush that Russia did not want any sort of democracy that looks like Iraq.
I love that these geniouses cannot realize that the administration-given name is pure propaganda. Just remember the first name given to this war and look at its antagram:
Operation
Iraqi
Liberation
(OIL)

how about separting the troops from the war? one has nothing to do with the other. troops are there to execute the orders given to them, no matter what the behind scenes purpose may or may not be. that deserves valor and they do get it when they are in the field and when they return home.
i was in iraq myself for 2 tours, its a mixed feeling but in the end i really hate all of them, oh yes, there are a few coold ones and alot of iraqis who do want a better way of life, but that is a small minority. an overwhelming bunch do not like us there, teach there stupid kids to do all they can to harass troops i.e. throwing rocks, running up yelling bang bang! etc etc.....and in the end, i really don't think they could care less if they were under the new GOV or the old one. they just don't like westerners in their territory, no matter what the reason.
and they are easily manipulated by the insurgents and anti-western backers. which makes for a very distrusting relationship.

Why do I bother answering your questions? I think I love being pissed off, maybe I am just a masochist.
Anyway, how many times do you have to be told? You say you were in the military, you say that you were in Viet Nam, and yet you ask these questions that are just as degrading to our military as the people who protested the Viet Nam war.
I suppose one giant mistake isn't enough. You want to go for two?
I've told you over and over again: All you are doing is spitting on all of the military people in the history of our country, and all of the military people now. You might as well literally spit on them. For all we know, you may have.
Yes, there's no honor in serving your country. Would you know anything about that? Yeah, there's no honor in the Iraqi people THANKING us for being there, and there's certainly no honor in millions of them turning out to vote, despite the threats made on their lives.
You really don't pay much attention, do you?

Why don't you visit Iraq and get a clue?
Funny how you keep telling people that they should go there - while you are too cowardly to do so yourself.
BTW - 'wonderwoman' I am laughing at you for being so clueless about what it is like in Iraq. I guess that you are not smart enough to know that it is a good idea to shut when people reading what you say have been there and seen what things are like firsthand.
