im with an amazing man but i get really upset and insecure sometimes. He treats me good and its long distance he's in philly im in pittsburgh we met when he went to college here. We've been together for 6 months and its great. He drives for 5 hours to come up and spend weekends with me. I have never had an actual good relationship like this. Most guys are great for about a month then turn into an asshole. I dont know why i feel so crappy sometimes and get insecure. Help, any advice???

Sometimes I think we get scared b/c things are going so well. Its like we're waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'd say, sit back and relax. Obviously, he is into you so, go with the flow and have fun. Each time you find yourself worrying about it, tell yourself that your not going to do that and think of something else. Don't sabotage your relationship b4 it even gets started!! Enjoy it and relax!! Good luck honey!

Could be a fear of not being good enough for him, or the stress of being apart during the week, many factors in my opinion that can account for insecurities and whatnot. I've been in a situation like that before and really its kind of unexplainable. The only advice I can say is, if the two of you really love each other, then over time it will pass, any problems or complications come up, always talk about them and after a while you'll be more comfortable with not only the relationship, but yourself as well.

this soooo sounds like me RIGHT NOW...i have been dating someone for about that long too...and it started out long distance...but i have recently moved closer to him...it is my own insecurities that cause me to also get upset sometimes...but he is patient...and helps me calmly see things for what they really are...sounds like you have a wonderful man...talk to him...tell him that you have issues...if he is sincere...he will be patient and understanding about it...the reasons for our insecurities are so deep...we have been hurt by most every other man in our lives...it is difficult to trust someone after going through several assholes...but the more insecure we are...the more we push away everything that is good and beneficial to us...be open...be honest...tell him how you feel...don't give up...apologize when you act out...explain to him that you don't mean to push him away...it just comes natural because of the things you have been through in the past with other relationships...i promise that if he is the one...it will make him work even harder to prove himself and his love for you...good luck sweetie

Just take it slow and mabey he is the one. There is one nice guy out of 1 million so dont do anything to loose him. Make him feel like he is the only one for you. He sounds like a good guy if he is the one doing all the driving to see you.
