Does he have the power to bend the rules?
I asked if he would let a murderer/worst man ever who converted at the last minute, into heaven, or an atheist who lived the life of a saint.

I was told the atheist, no mater how good would go to hell. That does not sound like a good deal. All that matters is worship, and hell must be a paradise if it is full of loving atheists, and heaven full of sorry murdurers. How do you know who god lets in? If he loved you he would not want you to burn. We would all accept him if he showed himself, so why not do it.

"Does god have the power to forgive?"
- Yes.

"Does he have the power to bend the rules?"
- No, God is bound by His own Word, even He must abide by His own Word.

"How do you know who god lets in?"
- Read JOHN 3:16

"I was told the atheist, no mater how good would go to hell."
- Quite simply, yes. Again, read JOHN 3:16

How can someone that will not accept the ultimate love be truly loving.
Someone who is "a murderer/worst man ever " can be saved if and only if they sincerely whole heartedly accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Think about it, how often does the worst person ever finally come to the truth of The Lord at the end of their life...........not very often. Having said that, it is a joyous occasion when it does happen.

Yes GOD has the power to forgive. He can forgive a Murderer who converted at the last minute and anyone else he chooses to. If you and I have the power to forgive, than How much more does GOD have that power. You and I can choose to forgive whomever we want to forgive for whatever reason we want to forgive them for. We can even forgive a murderer if we want to. Are we more than GOD the creator of all things?

GOD has all power. The question should maybe not be does he have the power to bend the rules but would he bend the rules.

Obviously He has the power to forgive and obviously He can bend the rules, though I don't think He has. Works doesn't get you into heaven, acceptance of Jesus Christ's death, burial, and ressurection are all that you need, it says in the Bible that no man can go to heaven except by Jesus Christ. In hell people don't have time to be kind, because they are screaming and suffering from the pain of the fire, burning their flesh for eternity. Not everyone would accept Him if He showed Himself.

He has shown Himself. "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." (Romans 1:20)

The Bible teaches that everyone who seeks after God will find Him. He judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart and knows where each person truly stands--even the "atheists."

Everything good and wonderful in this world, light, love, kindness, beauty, strength, compassion, and so on, is a reflection of God's character and a taste of what heaven is like (living in the presence of God.) Everything that is horrible and nasty on this earth including pitch darkness, greed, malice, deceit, injustice, rage, violence, war, pain, sorrow, and so on is a taste of what it will be like to live outside the presence of God (in hell). It won't exactly be a party with all of your drinking buddies.

God will not look upon sin or the sinner. Jesus was sent to die on the cross for our sins, so that we can accept Jesus as our savior, and be cleansed of our sins through repentance of those sins. Then God will hear you when you speak to Him.

Would you accept it and stop doing what got you in so much trouble in the first place if he did?
