"Pineapple - 2 days" (first Source URL)

"May I store canned pineapple in the open can for some days in the fridge? Or will the acid solve unhealthy substances out of the can?

Nowadays the cans for foods are sealed inside with a kind of lacquer to minimise the probably contamination with lead. The contamination depends additionally on the storage time and acidity of the content. But contamination is very reduced compared with old cans without inside coat. Do not buy cans that are damaged or disfigured in some way. Never use food from rusty cans But when a can is opened and the inside of the can comes into contact with oxygen in the air, corrosion, which is minimal while a can is sealed, occurs more rapidly. And while opening a can, you might hurt the seal. The best is to put the leftovers pineapple in another container made for foods." (second Source URL)

If it is in the can, not long at all. Get it into some plastic tupperware and it will last much longer.

If you put an open can in the fridge, then there is supposed to be some kind of poison that comes off the can and gets into the food, and that's why you never put an open metal can in the fridge.

You should never keep the can in the fridge - always put the contents in a tupperware. The pineapple will be good for 3 to 4 days.

Long.

But if you intend to eat it, move it to a plastic container. The fruit will taste of metal only a few hours after opening the can. It is said to even be dangerous but it actually only tastes bad, very bad. Chances of you being poisoned by a can that carried the food is zero because of it's bad taste.

If you foil the slices you can even freeze them. Pop them in a drink instead of ordinary ice-cubes. Looks nicer too.

Only a few days. I wouldn't keep an open can of fruit in there for more than 2-3 days max.

Tupperware it.

You should not keep anything in a can. Once you open it, always place it in a separate container and that will keep for a few days - let's say 3-4.

We love canned pineapple and find it'll last at least 5 days, if you take it out of the can. When you leave it in the can it gets a metallic taste even left overnight.
