They will not listen. They are called deaf blind and dumb in Qur'an. You are wasting your time.

2006-07-24 09:03:34 · answer #1 · answered by A K 5 · 0 0

Here is the first miracle I noticed:

To settle a murder mystery, Allah brought a murder victim back to life by hitting his dead body with a piece of the yellow cow. The risen man then identified his murderer! 2:72-3

But why didn't am all knowing god already know that?

#1 I could care less about. It has no value and sounds like superstition.

#2 - 39:6 He created you from one being, then from that (being) He made its mate; and He hath provided for you of cattle eight kinds. He created you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, in a threefold gloom. Such is Allah, your Lord. His is the Sovereignty. There is no God save Him. How then are ye turned away ? I find it odd that you think it tells about three layers but solves none of the other mysteries. And what the hell is with the cattle? This Hindu or Islam? And why are the rest of these enlightening verses so far away from this one if they all explain the same thing?

#3 – Jerusalem IS near the Dead Sea. Don’t expect me to convert.

#4 And the heaven We built with Our own powers (aydin) and indeed We go on expanding it (musi'un)

Oh that's pretty vague...

"5- it said there is cure in eating bee`s honey and it has been proven by doctors that honey has this effect" and water cures dehydration. I just don't see a miracle there.

#6-The mountains that you see, you think they are stationary while they are constantly floating like the floating of clouds. Such is the work of Allah Who made everything firm and strong.

Oh there are some hard facts. floating mountains = the solar system. Lets see what else is says:

He has created the heavens without any pillars that you can see, and He has placed in the earth firm mountains that it may not quake with you, and He has scattered therein all kinds of creatures; and We have sent down water from the clouds, and caused to grow therein every noble species.

I guess that didn't include Afghanistan’s killer quake

Good point
(18:86, 90)
"When he reached the setting-place of the sun, he found it setting in a muddy spring.... Till when he reached the rising-place of the sun."
The sun rises and sets at particular places on a flat earth. At the westernmost point on earth, the sun sets in a muddy spring.

I don't see dreams or anything else there. FALSE PROPHET.

On #7 Allah made the stars as missiles to throw at devils. 67:5 . He covered the bases on those stars, eh?

2006-07-24 09:01:58 · answer #2 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

...but the Quran also says that:

1- the sun rises and sets at specific places on earth reachable by road: 18:85 - 18:90

2 - the stars will one day fall to earth 81:2

3 - the stars are 'missiles made for devils' 67:5

4 - the earth is fixed and does not move: 27:61

Basic astronomy has discovered that the real truth is not what is described.

Do these facts prove that the Quran is not as perfect as you once thought?

I was born in Ilayangudi a small town in South India. At the age of six I went to learn to read the Quran in a local Masjid and I completed the Arabic Quran at the age of 12 or so. When I went to college my ideas changed and I thought it was useless( astagfirullah) just to read the Quran in Arabic without understanding the meaning. So I started reading teh English translation of the Quran and eventually forgot to read the Arabic Quran fluently After reading the following Quotation from a Christian Arabic Language professor on the beauty of the Quran, I started re-learning to read the Quran in Arabic. “The Quran was revealed in Arabic. It is a matter of faith in Islam that it is of divine origin, it is inimitable and hence to translate is always to betray. Muslims have always deprecated and at times prohibited any attempt to render it in another language. Anyone who has read it in the original is forced to admit that this caution seems justified. No translation however faithful to the meaning has ever been fully successful. Arabic when expertly used is a remarkably tense, rich and forceful language. And the Arabic of the Quran is by turns, striking, soaring, vivid, terrible, tender and breathtaking. As Prof Gibb has put it, “No man in 1500 years has ever played on that deep toned instrument with such power, such boldness and such range of emotional effect.” It is meaningless to apply adjectives such as “beautiful” or “persuasive” to the Quran, its flashing images and inexorable measure go directly to the brain and intoxicate it. It is not surprising then, that a skilled recitor of the Quran can reduce an Arabic speaking audience to helpless tears.” QUOTATION TAKEN FROM THE BOOK: TITLE: Islam AUTHOR: John Alden Williams ( a non-Muslim Arabic scholar) PUBLISHER: Prentice Hall International, London 1961 The following Quotation taken from the foreword of Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall’s Glorious Quran reinforces the above views of Prof. Alden equally effectively and forcefully. “The Quran can not be translated. That is the belief of old- fashioned sheykhs and the view of the present writer. The Book is here rendered almost literally and every effort has been made to choose befitting language. But the result is not the Glorious Quran, that inimitable symphony, the very sounds of which move men to tears and ecstasy. It is only an attempt to present the meaning of the Quran: and peradventure something of the charm: in English. It can never take the place of the Quran in Arabic nor is it meant to do so.

aethist here. just fyi.

My comment:

One must remember that Islam came about just before Christianity plunged into a dark age. It had its science and the Library of Alexandrea. The koran was written by human hands, and although there are many great facts in it. But not Divine in nature.

However. Just as a note. I had seriously considered going Muslim, for of all the "organized" religeons it is still the most pure ..... deranged suicide fanatics aside.

Interesting link, but my idea of a miracle is also to have a recent event in your own personal life. Also, I still believe in a living prophet and ongoing revelation rather than relying on a dead one. Have a happy day.
