Growing your hair long takes dedication. It was really hard getting through the awkward lengths. You know when you feel like all the styles you can do with it don't match you. It took two and a half years to get it comfortable for me all that while so many days I wanted to shave it off. Now i am so much happier with it how i wanted. Remember, you Always wanted to grow your hair long. Now is always the best time to do something you always wanted to do.

I think the hair on your avatar looks beautiful on black women!! I say go for it, and if you don't like it, remember it's hair, it'll grow back.
*If it took you 3 years to grow it only that long.. it would take another 3 years to get it mid back length. Also, chopping it off doesn't make you look old, it makes you look more mature.*

Seems a little drastic. Maybe just find another hairstyle that is still longer but it gives you something different to work with. I'd hate for you to cut it off when all you are looking for is a different look. Make an appointment to see your stylist and ya'll discuss what you are thinking.

i think long hair looks really good, but curly is even better! but when curly hair is too long, the curls really aren't at their best, so i say take advandage of that and go short! you can also grow it out long again if you don't like it

Hair always grows back. It's good to have a change once in a while, and if you don't like it, you can grow it back and try a different style.

Dont cut it, long curly hair is gorgeous. You would look older with short hair.

well if you are working on getting it really long just give it a trim get all the split ends out that way your hair will be shorter, but when it is trimmed it will grow faster

i think you should wait awhile before doing it or you might regret it and have to grow it all over again!
