I know it all don't speak for me you don't how many people I saw or didn't see I was there not you! I see Americans all day doing 12 hour shifts 7 days a week ever heard of oil drill-water well drilling oh yeah you have to be out in the sun to do that. Building roads, homes, everything you say America is incapable of doing Americans did before you were born and sneaked across the border. I know everything if every illegal is deported your logic is all fruits and veggies would vanish if illegals vanish. With all this greatness Mexicans process why can't they apply this logic in Mexico . Ever see Mexico hand out millions of dollars for their plight haven't seen mexico offer any other country any help a-tall- all mexicans do is complain why want the U.S.A. eject the entire country and let Mexico have a go..The dream is over dude

Well number one is construction. They are not the only one that will do the work, but they’re the most dependable. These people, well a majority of them are here to provide for there family’s in Mexico. They have really worked before; most Americans have not worked a good HARD days work in our lives, me being one of them. I mean working twelve hours a day every day in the sun for ten dollars an hour. And they wont complain because they don’t know how to. They are real work horses.

Second is harvesting. Just because you seen a few people working in Florida doesn’t mean sh!t. There are a lot more places that grow fruit. They pick cabbage, lettuce, grapes, anything that is delicate enough that machine harvesting will hurt the fruit. Once again employers favor them due to the way theses people work. They work hard for there chance to make a little money here. It’s more than they could ever make in Mexico. Seriously, would you really be willing to bend over hundreds of times a day in the heat for 8 or 9 an hour everyday? I know I would not. I went to school, graduated and I can do better than manual labor.

Another is fast food industry. And again, Americans can do this job, but who the hell wakes up and says, “I want to flip burgers the rest of my life!"? Not anybody I know. But for Immigrants its great pay for easy work. We dont go to school to work at Mc Donald’s. That’s not concederd a good job by our standards, but it can feed a whole family in Mexico plus some.

Something else is cleaning. Janitors, maids, maintenance crews, are all majority Mexican. They clean up hotels, the streets, houses, and let’s not forget yards. Anyone in there right mind can clean and fix up a yard, but who really wants to. I would and I do pay to get my lawn done. $25 a week is a good deal to me so that I don’t have to be out there.

I don’t know why more of us Americans don’t do these jobs, but I do know that theses are jobs that are always hiring. These places are always looking for more workers Americans or not. But as Americans we know that we can do better, so we avoid those jobs or only work for them on temporary basics.

If you really think about it, we will never get them out. You can do one of two things. Go after the Employers that are employing these guys and they will not have a reason to come here. That wont work fully though because there are more employers that there are workers and someone will always be willing to risk it so that they can skim a little off the top.

The second thing is accept the inevitable. The are here so let’s make some much needed money off of them. We must secure the border to our best ability and tax the workers that are here now along with the companies that hired them. And for the honor of working here I think they should pay a higher tax rate then we do and ours should go down a little to even the playing field for all the freebees they received in the past.

It's just a matter who will go out there and get the jobs, they are there and for the taking, but you see who has them. I have 2 businesses one is in construction, and the other is a cleaning business when I put up a help wanted sign; Mexicans are always the first to ask about the positions. They show the initiative to go out there and work so why not give it to them when there are no Americans asking about the jobs. When I do hire an American they call off, complain about the hours, where they have to work I do not get that from the Mexicans. Sorry that's just the way it is. Face the facts Americans do not WANT to do these jobs, it's not that they can't get them.

Funny you mention that....

While visiting Tennessee, a few years back, I met an illegal couple from Mexico living and thriving there....

I asked the husband what he did for a living, he told me he did brick laying. He also told me that since only a handful of Americans in TN. could actually lay brick properly, he decided to migrated there and started a business as a sub-contractor laying brick. He had so much business, he had to turn some if it down.

Its hard manual labor that does require skill. So yes, that is one example of Mexicans doing a job that Americans can't do or wont do....

And the list goes on and on....Get a life buddy..

Well there are none, americans are lazy and don't like getting their hands dirty for very little pay usually, yes there are some individuals out there who still put in a real hard days work but they are becoming rare. If you check around you will find that lots of jobs in the janitorial field are often taken by hispanics who either are illegel or don't speak english very much. Lots of construction is also done by hispanics, its not because of not having people to fill the jobs, its because not having enough people to fill them. As for the fruit thing, it does hold water, I don't know about florida, but in California and Arizona many of the growers do list their jobs through proper public channels and get little to no responce to the listings, and many of them try doing government exchange programs where by they are allowed to higher foren workers to fill the possitions at a fair wage, and still others don't waste time with all the polotics and red tape involved in that program go and higher them illegely.

Where the problem is occuring here in america there are certain needs that our own population can't fill or are unwilling to fill.

yeah alot of mexicans do the jobs that americans dont want to do. but some are crimminals too. and also i think its unfair how everybody has to wait years to come here and mexicans just walk here knowing that they will be poor cause illegal immigrants cant get a decent job without a citizenship. illegal immigration is a matter of national security. i dont mind if they come here legally. and cmon mexico isnt even a third world country. why dont they go to another city in mexico and find a better job. hey by the way they work they could be very succesful in MEXICO.

There are no jobs that Mexicans do that Americans won't do. People say this because they don't understand basic economics. The truth is that the presence of illegals lowers the wage rate so low that, combined with dependence on the welfare state, Americans generally won't do that type of work. Abolish the welfare state, and get rid of illegals, then the wage rate will rise and Americans will pick fruit.

Lets see; Anything that will pay income to take care of family and provide food, shelter, clothing, health, a home and land that they can settle on forever and not have to go back to poverty, etc, etc, etc .................................................Why has the government allowed them to enter in first place and not only them others, chinese, irish, italians, russians, and countless others......................................... To do the hard work others won't do...........and by Americans you mean those born here in the good old U.S.A. who have been educated , kindergarden through 12 grade and maybe some College, Those who have been very fortunate to finish College and want income that will give them the things in life their parents first came here to accomplish, just like those migrantes. Forgive me if we all have forgotten who lived and whose homeland was taken from them when the American first landed here, oh, wait, they weren't Americans. What were they? Does anyone remember? Here's a hint the first American was Indians living making a living for themselves. Forgive me if I offended anyone didn't mean too!

Thats weired I work for The Texas Workforce Commission in West Texas and we find ourselves having job fairs for recruiters that come from other states to recruite workers because they state " THE PEOPLE WHERE WE ARE FROM DONT APPLY FOR WORK " so they have to come here to hire people and they start them off at $12 to $15 an hour. The comp. are Haliburton, Labor Ready, Cascade, Tyson Foods just to name a few.

I notice that the one you ask the question of, in order to engage in polite debate, has not chosen to provide an answer, they have attempted to evade the issue by providing a nonanswer which contains some fingerpointing in order to take attention away from the FACT that they have no plausable answer to your very valid question. Bad form! Par for the course.

Americans will do anything for a fair wage!!!! ANYTHING!!!!!! and ask those in the southwest that work in construction just how much Illegals have driven down wages or ask the meat packing industry workers whose contracts weren't renewed because Tyson could hire illegal for a tenth of what they were paying. its easy economics supply and demand
