How many of you actually know someone or have a family member living with AIDS?

I have met hundreds of people with AIDS by doing AIDS education with the AIDS Quilt.
This included people in the US and also in South Africa, where I traveled with the Quilt to do education. [We met Nelson Mandela during that effort. He has done a lot to educate people, vs. Pres. Mbeke]

I have lost dozens of friends as well to this horrible, horrible disease.

I would urge all the readers to do all they can to educate themselves and their families about AIDS. Every person we prevent from getting AIDS is a potential life saved, since there is no cure as of yet.

I have a girlfriend who is doing well she continues to take her meds. Also ,I have a nephew who has aids ,so, you see it crosses all economical social barriers. Aids does not discriminate.

My aunt has aids and she passed it a long to my cousin during pregnancy. My cousin was born with it and he is now 16 years old and has never gotten sick. He looks perfectly healthy and you'd never know he was sick.
