Funny thing, - all the wars started in the name of religion has been in direct violation of the spirit and the truth of the religion. But I guess the athiest really don't want to recognize that, it'd take the air out of their hot air balloon.
But by definition, athiest don't think there's a final authority, which make each and every one of them the "final authority". That's kind of scary. Ya never know when the might decide that, on their authority, that breaking the law is OK.... and that might mean hackin' you in to littl' pieces.
I'll stick with Christians, they're more predictable. !!

Since when does atheism have ANYTHING DO WITH Marxism. One is religion and the other is politics. Completely separate issues, one should not influence the other (it does in some cases, but hey, that's just the way it is). Trying to say that all Atheists in China are Marxists is a load of crap. And I've met plenty of American Atheist Conservatives, so not every American Atheist is a radical lefty going for socialism/communism/democracy/etc. Religion has nothing to do with being ignorant of another person's culture/religion. Your cultural/ethnic/economic/educational background is what matters (i.e. the way you were brought up/the way you chose to be).
And really, you'd be surprised how much people don't know about religions other than the one that they were brought up with (if they were) & most people don't go far into politics and go "what party should I join", they just listen to the media and randomly pick the party that fits their ideals at the time or that their parents/friends joined.
The majority of people that are atheists either had a very hard childhood, agree with a scientific point of view on creation, or had some traumatic event in their life that made them think twice about religion. They aren't all bad people. Heck, most of them do accept other religions as long as you don't try to convert them. I'm not saying I am an atheist, I'm saying don't stereotype people. Especially those in countries you've probably never been and never will be.

Umm... No. Karl Marx had some decent ideas for a utopian world that due to human nature cannot ever be sustained. Most of those who were "influenced" by marxs took his work and twisted it to further their goals of power hungry greed.
Stalin and Mao are comparable to Osama Bin Laden.... Evil men who cared little for the lives of innocents.
However that does not mean EVERY aethiest believes that way... some things get twisted by humans, and any belief can be twisted.... Not all muslims are like Bin laden, nor are all aethiests like Stalin. and
SINCE WHEN DID AETHISTISM EQUAL COMMUNISIM? thats just b.s. reasoning.
Kinda like saying every christian is like Billy Gramh .... a drug induced whore using greedy swindler.
And we know that isn't true....

You made three mistakes:
1. Obviously using the guise of a question in order to soapbox your own beliefs.
2. Not recognizing the reason that Soviets and Chinese totalitarian regimes supressed religions was because they (religions) represent an ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF AUTHORITY AND SOCIAL INFLUENCE. The totalitarian regime wants to be the ONLY authority. It has NOTHING to do with atheism as a principled, philosophical position.
3. Not realizing that atheism, communism, and U.S. liberalism are all unrelated.

Wrong. Communist government tried to force everyone to their way of thinking. Atheists can adhere to any governmental system they want. Democracy, Republicanism, Fascism, Communism, right or left, conservative or liberal. Specifically, atheists do not worship anyone, especially Karl Marx. In terms of ignorance, this question exemplifies it.

Actually in those countries, everyone had to worship the dictators, and view them as gods. So much for religion. Look at the Nazis. They killed all those Jews, because the Jews caused the Crucifixion of Christ. Learn your facts before you preach. Just because you wish it does not make it true. Please name for me a country with a state religion that is a nice place. Ex: middle east countries. Don't say the us, because we have freedom of religion. Religion is a form of control to gain power. Look at the pope in the middle ages when religion had power in Europe. Once religion gets power it takes over, and tortures the nonbelievers to death, because they threaten church power. To keep power as a dictatorship wants total power, would mean removing other political powers like religion.

I'm sorry, but people grouping atheists like people group Christians makes my blood boil. Atheists do not have a common belief, we have a common disbelief. Saying, "do all atheists worship..." is like saying, "do all people with brown eyes worship..." Atheists have no credo, no code, no rulebook, and no exclusive organization. We have as little common ground with each other as we do with theists.

atheists don't worship ANYONE, dumbo.
Evil is evil regardless of religion. Lack of religion does not make someone evil. Most Nazis were Christian, now what?
